Sandy is a Nebraska Safety Intervention System Training Specialist. She trains Initial Safety Intervention in the Case Management course of study. She worked as a Central Office Training Specialist for 3.5 years, an Intake and Initial Assessment Supervisor for 16 years, and an IA and Ongoing CPS Worker for 5 years in Lincoln / Lancaster County prior to becoming an HHS P&S Training Specialist in 2002. Sandy has a BS in Social Work / Psychology from UNL and advanced education from Nebraska Wesleyan.

Mark trains the JSO-Specialized units in the Case Management course of study. He has 17 years of experience working in the field of corrections (both juvenile and adult) and has served in the progressive roles of caseworker, supervisor, director, and consultant. He became a full-time staff member at CCFL in 1995 and has been a member of the training staff since 1999. Mark has a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master's degree in Educational Psychology.

Shelly is a Training Administrator. She trains multiple units in the Case Management course of study with an emphasis in on-going case management. She has 19 years of experience in child welfare and 10 years of experience as a case manager for both children and adults in the Lincoln local office. Shelly joined the CCFL staff in 2000 as a Field Training Specialist. Shelly has a BSW from UNL/UNO.

Wendy is a Nebraska Safety Intervention System Training Specialist and a trainer for units in the Case Management course of study. She was a Nebraska Protection & Safety Worker from 2000-2003 and a Protection & Safety Integrated Care Coordinator from 2003-2006. Wendy joined the CCFL staff in the fall of 2006 and has an Associate's degree in Human Sciences from Southeast Community College and a BA in Human Relations from Doane College.

Stacey is a Training Specialist for DHHS located in Omaha. She trains multiple units in the Case Management course of study including Family/Person Centered Practice, Family Team Meeting, and Adoption. Stacey worked as a PSW for 3 years and a Resource Developer for 1 year in the Geneva and York offices. Prior to working for DHHS, Stacey was a Health Check Coordinator through Americorps-VISTA. She joined the DHHS Training Unit in 2000 and has a BA in Psychology with a mental health emphasis and a minor in Sociology from Doane College.

Lori trains multiple units in the Case Management course of study with a focus on Independent Living and Case Closure. She has 25 years of experience in child welfare, ranging from direct care to Protection & Safety. Lori supervised the Protection & Safety unit in Columbus for 14 years. She also has trained on the topics of employment-seeking skills and retention. Lori joined the CCFL staff in 2006 and has a BS in Community Service Counseling and minors in Sociology and Psychology.

Roger Lott is a member of the CCFL Legal Team and trains all units in the Working within the Legal System course of study. In addition, he co-trains Introduction to Child Welfare and Juvenile Services. He teaches various in-services on topics from legal matters to psychology. Roger is a lawyer and psychologist, a former county attorney, served as the executive director of the Nebraska County Attorneys Association, and has practiced trial law for more than 35 years. Roger joined the CCFL staff in 1993.

Kathy Olson is the Associate Director of CCFL. She is the administrator of CCFL's training activities for DHHS. She is a member of the CCFL Legal Team and trains various units in the Working within the Legal Systemcourse of study as well as Specialized Adoption. Kathy has been a lawyer since 1981 and joined CCFL when it was formed in 1988. Her legal experience is primarily in juvenile and family law. Kathy also is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Bryan is a Nebraska Safety Intervention System Training Specialist and a certified Mandt trainer. He trains Worker Safety and the Mandt System in the Case Management course of study. Bryan worked as a Protection and Safety Worker in Lincoln and has 28 years of employment experience in the Social Work profession. Bryan joined the CCFL staff in 1997 and has a Bachelor of Social Work from Union College in Lincoln and an MS in Family Science from UNL.

Tracy trains the N-FOCUS units as well as supervisor and support staff training. She became a DHHS Training Specialist in 2008 after serving as a PSW Supervisor for 1.5 years and a Resource Development Supervisor for 1.5 years. Tracy worked as a PSW for 5 years in both Nebraska and Missouri. In addition to her work in Child Protective Services, she was a Family Teacher at Mooseheart Child City in Chicago and worked for Cedars Youth Services. Tracy has a BA in Applied Behavioral Science from National-Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri.

Elizabeth is a member of the CCFL Legal Team and trains all units in the Working within the Legal System course of study. She has practiced in the Nebraska Separate Juvenile Court, served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem, and represented parents and putative fathers. She worked at CCFL on the initial development of the NE Court Improvement Project. Elizabeth holds a BS in Architectural Studies and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.

Barb trains units on interviewing skills in the Case Management course of study and co-trains Small Voices: Advanced Skill Building in Child Interviewing. With a PhD in Psychology, she is a licensed psychologist with 25 years of experience providing services in rural Nebraska, with a special emphasis in child sexual abuse. She obtained a Masters of Legal Studies in 1993 and has been on the staff at CCFL since 1991. She also has a private practice in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Paulette is a DHHS Resource Coordinator, managing the new worker and in-service training for both workers and supervisors in Child and Family Services. Paulette's experience includes 10 years in residential youth care work as a case manager, group home supervisor, group home coordinator, and intake specialist. In 1989, she became a Training Specialist for DHHS and in 2006 became a Resource Coordinator. Paulette has a BS in Child Development.

Gregg trains the Children, Youth, and Families course of study and co-trains Introduction to Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice. He is a licensed physician trained in pediatrics, school health, and child development. Gregg was Director of the Nebraska Health Department from 1983-1991. He helped develop the Nebraska CHEM-L protocol dealing with children in meth labs and is a board member of the Nebraska Alliance for Drug Endangered Children.

Cheryl is a Nebraska Safety Intervention System Training Specialist. Cheryl began her career as a police officer and worked with DHHS for 29 years in the areas of Title XX eligibility, food stamp eligibility, Adult Protective Services, and Child Protective Services. She has held positions as PSW, PS supervisor, Acting PS Administrator, Personnel Officer, and Quality Assurance Specialist in Protection & Safety. Cheryl joined the CCFL staff in 2007 and has a BS in Criminal Justice.

Shelly is an FTS for the Southeast Service Area and assists in the Eastern Service Area. She facilitates lab units in the Case Management course of study. Shelly worked for 9 years in human services. She was a PSW for over 3 years in Lincoln, working primarily with OJS youth and in the ICCU. Shelly worked at Boys Town in Omaha and at a residential treatment center in Colorado. Shelly joined the CCFL staff in 2005 and holds a BA in Psychology from Doane College.

Chad is the FTS for all JSO trainees. He is a certified Mandt trainer and trains JSO-Specialized and Worker Safety and the Mandt System in the Case Management course of study. Chad worked at the Attention Center for Youth in Lincoln, the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Kearney, and was a PSW in Lexington and Grand Island. As a PSW, Chad primarily served OJS youth. He also worked in the Integrated Care Coordination Unit in the Central Service Area. Chad joined the CCFL staff in 2002 and has a BS in Criminal Justice.

Paulette is also a forensic interviewer for the Central Nebraska Child Advocacy Center and a Safe Haven Visitation Center board member. Paulette joined the CCFL staff in 2002 and has a BSW from UNL.

Michelle is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist. Her team's job analytic work identified the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) that form the foundation of the new worker training. Her team also developed the current PSW recruitment and selection process, the Competency Development Tool, and researches PSW retention issues. She is involved in training evaluation and supervisor training and provides research support to the DHHS Quality Assurance Unit.

Audine coordinates the logistics of Child Welfare and Juvenile Services Training across the state. She also coordinates the Child Welfare and Juvenile Services in-service training offered by CCFL. She serves as the contact person for all training calendar and training location decisions. Audine manages the training database for Child Welfare and Juvenile Services training. She joined the CCFL staff in 1999.

Megan provides curriculum development assistance and is jointly responsible for conducting training evaluation and competency assessment projects designed to improve the selection, training, performance, and retention of Child Welfare and Juvenile Services Specialists in Nebraska. Megan joined the CCFL staff in 2000 and has a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Kristin holds both support and leadership roles in the areas of training development and evaluation. She also provides assistance in consulting the organization on areas such as job analysis, selection, training, performance assessment and improvement, employee attitudes and engagement, and change management. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the area of Industrial-Organizational Psychology.

Jan coordinates curriculum development at CCFL. She works with the DHHS and CCFL training staffs to create the Child Welfare and Juvenile Services Training. Previously she worked with DHHS as a Program Development Specialist in the areas of preparation for adult living for foster youth, mentoring, and adoption. Jan joined the CCFL staff in 1995 and has an MA in Adult & Continuing Education and a PhD in Family Science specializing in the psychosocial well-being of individuals and families.
